Thank You Revolution Archive |
When you say (or write) “thank you,” the more detail you provide, the more impact it makes. If you are a leader at work, spouse of a stay-at-home parent, or anyone working with behind the scenes folks, I can tell you what those people think: “You have no idea what I go through.” So, when you thank them, be specific. Go into detail about how much it helped, how much you appreciate it, and how impressed you are. Here are six key phrases to use: “I could not have done it without you.” “I know how much time you put into it.” “I was absolutely amazed by the result.” “Your effort was above and beyond the call of duty.” “Here is the impact that it made.” “Because of you, ____.” Show them the impact they had. Specifically recognize the effort they put in. Overwhelm them with praise. And remember that what gets rewarded gets repeated. With Gratitude, Matt McWilliams |
